Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 2026

Facilipay ("we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting the privacy of visitors to our website and users of our integrated commerce platform. This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the rights you have over your data.

This policy applies to facilipay.dev, facilipay.io and any Facilipay-branded products or services that link to it. It is written to align with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the UK GDPR and the Irish Data Protection Act 2018.

Who we are

Facilipay is headquartered in Dublin, Ireland, with operations in the United Kingdom and North America. For the purposes of GDPR, Facilipay is the data controller for personal data collected through this website and the data processor for personal data processed on behalf of our merchant customers.

For any privacy enquiry, contact our team at privacy@facilipay.com.

What data we collect

Information you provide directly: name, email address, phone number, company name, job title and message content when you fill in a contact, demo or enquiry form, request a callback, leave a voice note, or sign up for newsletters or updates.

Information collected automatically: IP address, device type, browser type, referring URL, pages visited, time spent and interaction events — collected through cookies and similar technologies as described in our Cookie Policy.

Information from merchant platforms: when you transact at a Facilipay-powered merchant, we may process transaction, loyalty, gift card and order data on behalf of that merchant as a processor under their instructions.

How we use your data

To respond to your enquiries, demo requests and support tickets; to operate, secure and improve our website and platform; to provide the services you or your employer have contracted for; to send service updates and, where you have opted in, marketing communications; and to comply with our legal, accounting and regulatory obligations.

We process personal data on the legal bases of contract performance, legitimate interest, consent (where required, e.g. marketing and non-essential cookies) and legal obligation.

Who we share data with

We share personal data with vetted sub-processors that support our service — including hosting and infrastructure providers, customer support and CRM tools, analytics providers, email delivery providers and payment acquirers. Each sub-processor is bound by a data processing agreement and processes personal data only on our instructions.

We do not sell your personal data. We may disclose personal data where required by law, court order or to protect the rights, property or safety of Facilipay, our customers or others.

International transfers

Where personal data is transferred outside the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses and equivalent UK transfer mechanisms.

Data retention

We retain personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes set out in this policy, including to comply with legal, accounting or reporting requirements. Marketing contact data is retained until you unsubscribe or for a maximum of 24 months of inactivity, whichever is sooner.

Your rights

Under GDPR you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict and port your personal data, and to object to certain processing. Where we rely on consent, you have the right to withdraw it at any time.

To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@facilipay.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority — in Ireland this is the Data Protection Commission (dataprotection.ie).

Security

We use industry-standard technical and organisational measures — including TLS encryption in transit, encryption at rest, role-based access controls, audit logging and regular security reviews — to protect personal data against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure or destruction.

Cookies

Our use of cookies and similar technologies is described in our Cookie Policy, which forms part of this Privacy Policy.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be highlighted on this page with an updated effective date.
