Providing a cashless self-service checkout solution for the DAA was an exciting project for our Engineering team, due to the sheer magnitude of system usage by passengers all over the world with varying levels of exposure to technology. To put into perspective, the self-service checkout solution could potentially service 81,000 passengers a day and upto 29.6 Million passengers per year.


Today's customers expect rich and dynamic content such as ordering, loyalty, digital wallet, customer registration and more. Imagine, an app similar to the Starbucks rewards app, that’s the level of experience most customers now expect. However, the biggest roadblock keeping every small or medium coffee shop from having their own app, is cost, effort and complexity.
